A new Podcast for 2026 - Unusual Tales from The Great War.
This is a project I'm currently working on (April 2026) and hope to be able to release the first series later in the summer.

As I've researched material for my books and talks I've discovered many unusual and forgotten stories from WW1. My plan is to bring some of these back to light with 15-20 minute 'bite-sized' episodes on subjects well away from the Western Front.

The first series will be "The Allied Intervention in Northern Russia 1918-1920" with ten episodes including on the Commanders and Conscripts sent, Russian Prisoner and British Officer mutinies, 'The Royal Irish Keralians', the British Socialist response and the legacy of this campaign for today and what Putin thinks.

Future series will include WW1: The Asian Front, The Allies in Siberia, Extraordinary Individuals, Worldwide VC's and perhaps one on Plots and Conspiracies.

I'm wrestling with the process and technology but fortunately have access some younger heads who know about this kind of thing.
